I have heard from a lot of people that you can get free stuff from websites but this seems to be the most common one. Apparently you can win iPads and iPods and iMacs and all sorts all you need to do is follow a few simple steps so im gonna keep this short and sweet but if you think you have a bit of spare time check out this website. p.s i wouldnt be posting this if I didnt think this could work!

Forget 3D try 4D

A couple of days ago I tried out a 4D cinema and I'm gonna get straight to the point it was amazing. It really was a big step up from normal 3D cinemas. For those of you who have no idea of what I'm talking about, it's basically an advance on 3D cinemas that's starting to become a popular attraction in major cities:London,Birmingham and Manchester.It involves moving seats air blown in your face, strobe lighting and water splashed at you in time with the film.I went to the newly opened one at the museum of science and industry in Manchester. The short film I watched was animated and it started off with a robbery scene. Everytime the character was hit the whole chair shook violently for like a sec and it was like having a massive personal subwoofer. Obviously the thing that got everyone buzzin was the water and it happens when the character jumps in a puddle or something and little holes in the chair in front squirt water at you and it really adds to the effect. Also the strobe lightS came intO play when there was lighting in the film they flash very brightly with the crack of thunder. So I highly recommend going to one if possible or you can check out their website .

What camera to buy?

I've been saving up and I am planning to purchase a camcorder before the summer. I need something with good enough quality I.e hd but not too expensive. After searching for a long time I found one panasonic sd900 it is selling at £704.90 currently but is well worth it. It is full hd 50fps has a manual focus ring, is 3D ready and the quality has been described as the nearest consumers can get to broadcast quality. Let me know your thought and if anyone else has some suggestions. If you already own or have used this camera please comment below letting me know.

3D in 2011

What started off as red cyan simple 3D in cinemas has reached a revolution in 2011 because it's coming to our houses. That's right major brands such as samsung and panasonic are bringing 3D Tvs for consumers. But are they any good? Well when it first started in cinemas it was just red and cyan and as it has developed there has been different methods of achieving the 3D effect. The latest one featuring in samsungs LED 3D tv and panasonics viera 3D tv. It involves glasses with active shutter lenses which flash at 60 times a sec which create two images which your mind puts together to form 3D. People may argue that the experience is only truly immersive when in cinemas because of the great screen size. However having tried this 3D out on a 40 inch panasonic tv myself I have to say it was amazing. For those people who don't think it will be, Panasonic also offer 65inch 3D Tvs. Also what's new to consumers is not only the ability to watch in 3D but for the first time ever to record in 3D as well. Panasonic offer an attachable lens which records in HD 3D and is compatable with their hd camcorder series along with their 3D tv. Check it out below:

Inspirations?!

Some of my inspirations in terms of vfx on YouTube have been drew casson with his channel as kermitcasson and Freddie wong with his as freddiew. Their effects are really good, and would be worth checking out. How I started making films

I first started my interest in films when i was young and got my first camera phone, the fact that a person could capture a living moment and then watch over and over again fascinated me. Me along with my brother and cousins started making random fight scenes and films as a joke when we had 'nothing to do'. As i grew up watching Hollywood films with vfx and explosions interested me more. Mainly i was hooked on Harry Potter and the way the spells were done. As technology advanced the quality of cameras got better for consumers. Eventually i got hold of a digital HD 720p camcorder and things started to get serious. While doing this i also developed better skills in acting. The biggest leap for me was probably when i got hold of some vfx software, i was not only so happy at  the result of some of the effects but peoples reaction when they saw it e.g family, friends. My most popular effect was teleportation as seen in films like jumper:
